The Seoul Museum of History film needed a flashback from inside its tram. Green-screen windows had to become a 1950s city, with a sense of period and movement.

Project story
A stationary museum tram, moving again through a remembered Seoul.
The approach
Archival images and period film sets informed the streets, buildings and signs. Additional passenger silhouettes, dust and tram movement were combined with the live-action footage to create the impression of a memory.
Our scope
- A period 3D street informed by limited archival references
- Live-action actors, tram, CG environment and additional passengers composited together
- Selected sequences at 1:26–1:34 and 1:50–1:57 in the full film

The filmed tram and actors anchored the camera and perspective. The CG city turned the stationary setting into a moving flashback sequence.

A remembered city, informed by references
Photographs and period sets provided clues for the street, architecture and signage. Where the records were incomplete, we prioritized depth and period atmosphere without claiming an exact historical reconstruction.
Compositing
Bringing the sources into one shot
Green-screen actors, additional passengers and the 3D environment were matched in shadow, color and texture. The breakdown shows the source footage and the stages of the final composite.
